If you like the black “murdered out” look on your cars, you’ll be happy to know Nissan has just given it to six core models in their line up in the new Midnight Editions revealed at the Chicago Auto Show.

Black wheels, black trims, black accessories – all part of a package now available on Nissan’s six mainstream models with special package pricing. These include the sedans, Sentra, Altima and Maxima as well as the SUVs Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder.

The package adds the custom look popular across the automotive spectrum right now both with factory finished exterior parts as well as unique interior details by model. Nissan’s betting big as their experience with the package has been good, originally introduced on the 2016 Maxima and now representing 85% of sales on that car.

Now expanded across the board, each model gets a slightly different mix of features.

The Midnight Package is offered on the Sentra SR and SR Turbo. Here you get gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, black mirror caps, and a black rear spoiler. Inside you can option Midnight Edition floor mats. The package is only $490 and can be had with red, black, white and charcoal exterior paint.

The Altima SR Midnight Edition 2.5 gets 18-inch gloss black alloys, the black mirror caps and black rear spoiler. Included also are LED headlights, a remote engine start and you can also option those Midnight Edition floor mats. Stepping up to Midnight on Altima costs $990 and the same mix of red, black, white and charcoal paint is available.

The Maxima SR Midnight Edition package pricing is $1,195 and can be had in the same mix of colors. Here you get 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a black spoiler on the rear deck, black rear diffuser, and the black mirror caps. Still here, the Midnight Edition floor mats are an extra.

The best selling vehicle in the Nissan lineup, the Rogue gets the Midnight Edition package for the first time. It starts with a black finish for its 17-inch alloy wheels, black mirror caps, black roof rails, black cross bars, and black splash guards. Added are a rear bumper protector and illuminated kick plates. Package pricing is $990 and it’s available in red, black, white, and charcoal.

Making it even more eye-catching, the Midnight Edition 2017.5 Nissan Murano is based on the Platinum trim grade. Here you get huge 20-inch gloss black alloys, black roof rails, black mirror caps, black splash guards. Like the others it’s available in white, red, black and charcoal with a price of $1,195. And yes, you can option the floor mats.

The largest of the group, the Nissan Pathfinder Midnight Edition also gets the 20-inch Midnight Edition wheels along with its black mirror caps, black roof spoiler, and black splash guards. Added also are illuminated kick plates and chrome rear bumper protector. The package price is $1,195 and can be had with red, white, black and charcoal paint.

The Nissan Midnight Editions are trickling into dealerships now and can be seen on the company’s website. Will they add the package to the Nissan Armada, or the trucks? Stay tuned.
