The popular Chevrolet Trailblazer has gotten a significant set of updates for 2024, getting a mid-cycle refresh for the new model year. New styling touches inside and out, new wheel designs and a new standard large screen infotainment system are the headliners.

Starting with the styling, it looks very much the same as the outgoing 2021-2023 Trailblazer but the entire front fascia, grille and headlamps are all-new. A sharper and more truck-like silhouette is given to the grille design and lower bumper that beefs up the look.

At the rear are new tail lamps that have an internal reflector design with the double barrels similar to the heritage look known from the Camaro. On the sporty RS trim grade you now get an all-new 19-inch wheel design too.

The cabin is really where things have been given a substantial makeover. An all-new and more contemporary dash design features a new 8-inch digital instrument cluster as a standard for all trims.

Center stage is a new standard 11-inch touchscreen center user interface that’s packed with features. Headliners are a new HD quality rear view camera. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are included and it’s available with a Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can step up and option a wireless phone charger and as expected there are plenty of USB ports for charging too.

The interior gets a fresh set of trims on the doors to give a new look to go with its surprising versatility for its size. With a 60/40-split folding rear seat it has up to 54.4 cubic of cargo space. At the rear is a reversible, two-tier storage system for custom load flexibility.

As before it will be available in trim grades LS, LT, ACTIV and RS trims. The Avtiv shown here features a uniquely tuned suspension for a more off-road oriented feel. RS gets a more street sport attitude. Both are available with a two-tone paint option with contrasting roof color.

Two new exterior colors join the lineup including Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green, neither of which Chevrolet is showing us here.

Carried over from 2023 are its powertrains which include the base 1.2-liter turbocharged three cylinder engine which has 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. It’s available only with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive.

An optional 1.3-liter turbocharged three cylinder engine brings 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. With front-wheel drive it comes with a CVT. If you option all-wheel drive you get the bonus of a conventionaly 9-speed automatic transmission.

Built by GM Korea at their Incheon, South Korea plant, the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer will be arriving to dealerships later this year. Pricing and final specifications should be released closer to launch.
