Our test drive of the all-new 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4 took us out to the Arizona desert to see how it performed in the rough as well as on the highway.

Three key takeaways of this truck were that its powertrain was dramatically refined and made more drivable with the addition of the new 10-speed automatic transmission.

Secondly, it has a unique and attractive character as equipped with the AT4 off-road package, setting it apart well from the Chevrolet versions of the truck.

Last, while completely new and redesigned the truck retains GM family DNA in how it drives and feels. This should put long time Chevrolet or GMC customers at ease, knowing they will feel at home behind the wheel.
