The significantly refreshed 2024 Kia Seltos was revealed at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, looking more streamlined and upscale, featuring new interior technologies and features, and a healthy power increase to boot.

Building on an already popular mid-scale crossover SUV for the brand, Kia made careful and well through out updates the Seltos that not only make it look fresh but bring it more in line with many of its new competitors in the red-hot segment.

Starting with its exterior there are three colors including the Pluton Blue you see here. Design updates include a smoother face with new headlamps, grille and fascia design that is more distinct in its forms now, relying less on fussy details for visual pop.

Side trim and cladding too get a revise look to go along with the more refined theme and at the rear revised lighting, trims and lower bumper design follow form with the front. Wheels are redesigned across the board from trim grades LX all the way up to SX.

New for 2024 is a new top grade X-Line trim also shown on your screen that has its own unique gunmetal finish grille design, special 18-inch wheels, gloss black finishes front to rear and of course an X-Line badge. Up top is also a black roof rack.

The interior receives most notably the availability of the brand’s wide format dash and cockpit center featuring dual 10.25-inch screens – one for the driver information center and one for the infotainment system all under on sheet of glass.

It’s top-grade infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a navigation system that can get over-the-air (OTA) updates to keep maps and infotainment system updated automatically with the latest software.

Revised trim are also found here and there around the cabin to fall in line with the themes found outside. A power liftgate is available on upper trims to make life easier getting cargo in and out when you have a handful.

Powering the 2024 Seltos is an updated version of its optional 1.6-liter turbocharged and direct-injected four-cylinder engine getting a 20 horsepower boost now with 195 horsepower mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

It can be had with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive that features a center locking differential that allows drivers to manually select and offers a 50:50 torque split. Standard remains the carryover 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 146 horsepower and a continuously variable transmission Kia calls an IVT.

The 2024 Seltos is expected to arrive in North American showrooms by mid 2023. Pricing and package specifications are expected to be announced closer to that time.
